YuMetta Foundation
The foundation brings together professionals from health, education, and environmental fields to address pressing societal challenges. Their core initiative, the 'Go to the People Camp' is a transformative program that engages socially conscious youth in immersive, hands-on experiences, teaching them practical skills in leadership, community engagement, and problem-solving. Their work is rooted in the belief that empowering the youth is key to driving long-term, sustainable change. By nurturing the potential of young people and equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to address complex social challenges, YuMetta is creating a ripple effect of positive impact that extends far beyond the individual participants. In addition, the foundation emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise to tackle issues from multiple angles.
Project with MHI:
Mariwala Health Initiative is partnering with Yumetta Foundation for Project Ashoka. The project aims to address the mental health stressors induced due to discrimination faced by marginalized students in higher educational institutions. The project involves a baseline survey to assess ongoing issues and the development of a curriculum to help students build coping mechanisms, understand their rights, and practice self-care. Additionally, the initiative will create educational resources to challenge misconceptions about affirmative action. With these, the project intends to mitigate the stressors in the student’s life and contribute to their positive mental well-being.
